Here's a typical opening sequence introducing Breege as she prepares for her big day. Note how the film is edited to the music, cutting on the beat. This integrates the music into the film, making it part of the movie instead of just background music. I typically shoot shots of the house and ornaments and, pretty much everything else!, often over an hour's filming for the first 5 mins of the film. It gives me plenty to include in the edit and gives a sense of the atmosphere of the day. It also helps when the Bride is as photogenic as Breege, with plenty of close-ups of the make-up and hair.
